Terms and Conditions

  1. Participating hotels in Europe, Africa and Middle East will have no limitation on the number of Starpoints received for every elligible USD spent according to the ratio 3 USD of elligible spend = 1 Starpoint from April 1 2012 until December 31 2012 for events booked, held and paid for during this period
  2. Valid only for group/event bookings made by members of the Starwood Preferred Planner program
  3. Only applicable to group or event booking at partipating properties at Europe Africa and Middle East
  4. Contract must explicitly state name, last name and SPP number of the Starwood Preferred Planner member/s to receive the estimated number of Starpoints based on forecasted elligible revenue in the signed contract

  7. The Starwood Preferred Planner program (“Program”) provides Starwood Preferred Guest Points (“Starpoints”) to meeting planners and travel agents (“Planner(s)”) who book meetings at participating Starwood Hotels and Resorts worldwide (“Hotel(s)”).
  8. Planner will be awarded Starpoints only for meetings booked and actualized (actualized shall mean meetings held and paid as contracted)
  9. To qualify for Starpoints, Planner must be a member of the Starwood Preferred Guest program in good standing.
  10. Starpoints are issued only to the Planner named in the contract for the meeting and may not be transferred or assigned. Starpoints may be allocated among a maximum of three eligible Planners. All eligible Planners must be members of Starwood Preferred Guest program in good standing and must be named in the contract.
  11. Planner must provide his/her Starwood Preferred Guest membership number in the contract or prior to the contracted meeting.
  12. Eligible Planners do not need to attend the meeting to receive Starpoints.
  13. PLANNER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR NOTIFYING HIS/HER EMPLOYER, PRINCIPAL AND/OR CLIENT OF ANY INCENTIVES RECEIVED BY STARWOOD, INCLUDING STARPOINTS ISSUED THROUGH THE PROGRAM, AND SHALL COMPLY WITH ANY GIFT AND INCENTIVE POLICIES THAT MAY APPLY. PLANNER AGREES TO INDEMNIFY AND HOLD STARWOOD HOTELS & RESORTS WORLDWIDE, INC. ITS SUBSIDIARIES AND AFFILIATES HARMLESS FROM ANY LIABILITY, COSTS AND/OR DAMAGES RELATING TO CLAIMS OF ANY THIRD PARTY ARISING FROM A FAILURE TO DISCLOSE THE RECEIPT OF STARPOINTS OR ANY OTHER INCENTIVES AND GIFTS. SAID COSTS MAY INCLUDE THE CASH VALUE OF ANY INCENTIVES THAT ARE PAID DIRECTLY TO PLANNER’S EMPLOYER, PRINCIPAL AND/OR CLIENT IN RESPONSE TO A CLAIM HEREUNDER.
  14. There is no limit to the number of events per year or total points that can be earned per year.
  15. Excluding special promotions and incentives, one (1) Star point for every three ($3.00) U.S. dollars (or U.S. Dollar equivalent) is earned for eligible group business as follows:
  16. All group room revenue regardless of form of payment
  17. Meeting Room rental
  18. Catering events booked and/or services through the hotel catering department. It is not necessary to consume room nights in conjunction with eligible catering business.
  19. Starpoints may be awarded based on all group rates, exclusive of tax, gratuities, and related charges.
  20. For room night credit, group business/events must be contracted through the sales or catering department to be eligible for Starpoints.
  21. Starpoints will not be awarded on complimentary or barter rooms and events.
  22. Starwood Preferred Planner Starpoint awards may not be combined with other Starwood Preferred Guest Promotions.
  23. Starwood reserves the right to modify, change or terminate any of the terms and conditions of the Starwood Preferred Planner program at any time, without notice.
  24. Starpoints are not transferable.
  25. Void where prohibited by law. Not responsible for omissions or typographical errors. Void where prohibited by law. Promotion valid to all eligible group/event/meeting bookings, including those booked through travel agents and third parties at commissionable rates
  26. Use of Starpoints is subject to terms and conditions of the Starwood Preferred Guest program. which is subject to change at any time, without notice, and can be viewed at www.SPG.com
